MALAGA ISLAND FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIP
Each year, fifth-grade students embark on a kayak field trip to Malaga Island as part of the grade-level curriculum enrichment. School bus transportation, kayaks, personal flotation devices, and wet suits are provided. Additional PES staff, and approved parent volunteers will assist Ms. McCauley and Mrs. Snell with supervision.
While kayaking is an enjoyable activity, it's important to acknowledge there are risks to being on the water. To mitigate these risks, we will ensure that all participants receive proper instruction, wear appropriate safety gear (such as life jackets), and adhere to safety guidelines throughout the trip. Additionally, we will closely monitor weather and water conditions to make informed decisions about the safety of the excursion.
By responding “I consent” to this email, you have given permission for your child to attend the kayak field trip to Malaga Island tomorrow, June 6, 2024.
