In a few of our schools we have installed Apple TVs on the projectors. In other schools we have AirServer available for install on teacher MacBook Airs. What these allow you to do is stream your display wirelessly from an iPad or Mac computer. This allows us to project wirelessly in many rooms in our schools. To use these you just need to follow a few simple steps.

 

On the MacBook Air

1.) Click on the AirPlay icon in the top right corner of the screen

2.) Choose the Apple TV or AirServer you would like to project to

3.) Enter the 4-digit passcode that appears on the screen

4.) When you are done go back and click “Turn Off Airplay Mirroring”

On iOS 7

1.) Turn on your iPad and drag your finger up from the bottom of the screen

2.) Click on the “AirPlay” icon

3.) Click on the name of the Airplay device you want to display to

4.) Switch “Mirroring” to On

5.) Enter the On Screen Passcode

6.) When you are done repeat steps 1 and 2

7.) Turn “Mirroring” to Off

8.) Then click on “iPad”

9.) Now just click out of the menu and you’re done
